Can You Believe This?

Someone told me the other day that I should really buy a lottery ticket...
And if I was a gambler, I just might do that...
But I'm not.

Anyway,
We're feeling really blessed these days...
The day we closed on our new home,
We found out that we are expecting a baby!
What a day!!

Most of you know that we had lots of heartache
and lots of "help" in getting our little Aldyn...
so to find out I was pregnant... with no doctor trips
was an amazing and very welcome surprise!!

We're thanking God for this miracle #2...
just as we did for the first one...
because obviously, either way,
it's ALL HIM!

Greetings From a New Zip Code!

So, first of all, I apologize to all of you (my 3 faithful followers) that it's been so long since I last posted. There have been several things that I've wanted to blog about, but decided my time would be better spent preparing for our move. It's a huge relief that we are done with that process! Here's a run-down of what we've been up to...my next post will be a buttload of pictures...but not tonight...

*I headed to state tennis with my mom, grandma and aunt to watch my cousin Bronwyn...we left in the wee hours of the morning and hit a deer on the way. Had to turn around, get a different car and start again...a huge bummer, but no one was hurt, a real blessing since we were on the interstate at dawn. It was a super fun day. Aldyn spent the day with Grandma Karen and Grandpa Frank and as always, had a great time playing with them at the farm.

*We had a fun Memorial Day weekend...bbq with friends...parade in Axtell with my family...quick trip to Denver with my little sister while Aldyn stayed in Wallace with my parents and Lainey and Sophie!

*Mike went skydiving. He's wanted to do this for-ev-er...so I gave him a gift certificate for his 30th bday in December...so he's been waiting 6 months to use it. Skydive Atlas comes to Minden once a year. He loved it and I'm afraid he might be addicted! It was fun to watch too!

*We got the keys to our house and wasted no time making a few changes. These were intended to be simple...but, no big surprise, ended up being a little more involved. We're so thankful for Mike's mom and her "crew" of amazing painters. They sanded, mudded, and painted...finished 9 rooms in the house in 3 1/2 days. I love the improvements and the house seems a little more like "ours".

*My sister, Mollie, was a contestant in the Miss Nebraska Pageant in North Platte last Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. She did a great job and I'm super proud of her! I didn't want to miss any of it, so made the trip nightly...and Mike joined me on Saturday. It made for a busy week with packing and then moving on Saturday...but it all worked out and we took a giant nap on Sunday! :)

*We had such great moving help...we were just planning to move the big stuff on Saturday, and weren't feeling too prepared, but everyone dove in and got it done in one day! Thanks to Mike's family and some friends for being such a blessing and moving all of our crap!

*My parents came on Sunday and helped us unpack, etc. on Monday...which was a huge help. They decided to take Aldyn home with them since we had plenty to do around here. It was so hard to see her drive away with them...but we got so much done while she was in Wallace and she had a great time! She stayed 3 days and 3 nights...her longest stay away from home so far. We were so excited to see her when then brought her home yesterday!

*And, the biggest news of the week...My little sister is getting married! I can hardly believe it! Adam proposed to her on Wednesday...and we are thrilled! He is the nicest guy and they are an amazing couple! This year is going to be full of some fun planning...can't wait!!

*Pictures coming soon...I promise.
