Happy 60th Birthday Grandpa Frank!!

Last weekend we went to Estes Park, CO with Mike's family to help Frank celebrate his big day. We had such a fun time being together in the mountains! The rainy, cool weather didn't stop us from doing lots of activities, but we also had some nice downtime and were able to relax a bit. The sun did eventually shine, and we were very thankful for that! Most importantly, we were all together to honor Frank, a man who means so much to each of us! Karen and Stacy planned a special party for him on Saturday, and on Sunday the guys played some golf. They actually had to golf around the elk that make their home on the course. We also spent some time at Mary's Lake, the YMCA of the Rockies, Rocky Mountain National Park, Fun City, etc. We parted ways on Monday and each went and had a little mini vacation of our own. Mike, Aldyn and I went to Denver and ate at the ESPN zone and did a little shopping on Tuesday before coming home. Here are a few pics...

Cousin Fun!

Aldyn got to meet a few more of her cousins on Thursday. We spent the day at Frank and Karen's along with Donna Youngquist (Mike's aunt), her daughter-in-law, Marcie, and her grandkids: Bryce, Paige, Aubrey, McKenna & Camryn. Deb and her kids were able to be there too. It was really fun to get together and catch up, it doesn't happen often, but Marcie and her kids were visiting from Illinois, so it worked out well. The older kids had a great time playing together outside. Here are a few pics from the day.

Little Friends

I thought I'd share a few pictures of Aldyn and Brycen Samuelson. We were at a birthday party for Charity George on Tuesday night, and laid them down to compare size. It was pretty cute to watch them look each other over. Brycen is 2 1/2 months younger than Aldyn, but already outweighs her, and is just about as long as she is. I think it's safe to say that he's going to be a big boy! It's fun to think about the future, and how they might be little buddies someday. There's been quite a baby boom around here lately, so they'll have lots of playmates. Mike and Matt (Brycen's dad) grew up doing lots of family things together, so it's fun to have little ones close in age.
